NSI Gel Foundation Course
Qualifications
Following completion of the Foundation Gel Course successful students will graduate with an NSI Diploma of Graduation and a National Qualification in Artificial Nail Structures accredited by Scottish Qualification Authority (SQA) which is highly recognised and approved by The Guild of Professional Beauty Therapists and BABTAC (British Association of Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology) and ABT Associated Beauty Therapies. This will allow students to obtain insurance and enable you to practise as a qualified NSI Technician.

Course Fee (£495 + Vat)
The four day course is designed to provide a platform upon which the amateur can develop their skills. The course has been carefully constructed to provide you with the right mix of both practical skills and knowledge which will enable you to progress in your career as a nail professional. The course is split into four one day sessions over a period of one month enabling the necessary time to practice your new skills between training sessions.
The Balance UV Gel system incorporates the very latest UV technology creating a system that is versatile, durable, odourless, hypoallergenic and great to wear. It combines a superior no-¬lift adhesive UV gel foundation, with free flowing flexible self levelling builder gels. Balance finish gels complete the system, adding a permanent high gloss finish. If you are intending to work in an environment where odour might be an issue, the Balance system will be the answer for you.
Each student will receive a Balance Professional Kit and portable UV lamp which contains all the necessary products to get you started. Value of the kit contents and lamp £158 and their NSI Training manual.
Students completing the NSI Course will be fully covered with Associated Beauty Therapist Insurance (twelve months from date of enrolment).

- Models will be required on days two, three and four of the course

Training Schedule
Day 1 (no models required)
Theory / Health & Safety / Natural Nail Anatomy / Nail Diseases & Disorders Basic Manicure Techniques / Polishing (Varnishing / French ) Removal of artificial nails / Demonstration of nail enhancement products I Product knowledge.
Day 2 (models required)
Natural nail preparation / Tip Application (French Manicure and Natural) Gel application (one colour) Filing and finishing techniques.
Day 3 (models required)
Natural nail preparation / Clear tip application (for softer French or nail biters / filing and finishing techniques / In-filling / Rebalancing (maintenance procedure) Enhancement Removal
Day 4 (models required)
Natural nail preparation / Sculpting techniques / Filing and finishing techniques. On the last day you will have a written and practical assessment on completion of this you will be issued with your NSI Certificate. Students failing to reach the pass standard will receive complimentary extra training in order to reach the standard required of the NSI Certificate.
